DSLR is the new age camera which stands for Digital Single Lens Reflex. It has various striking features like shooting modes, Focus modes, Depth of field, back focus, flash control, the beep, customizable menu and so many more which makes it unique than other regular digital cameras.
As the DSLR Photography is a little different than other Digital Cameras Photography there are some rules and guidelines to be followed for getting the perfect shot clicked.
Given below are some useful DSLR Photography Tips–
Shooting in Full Manual Mode
Shooting in Full Manual Mode might be a little baffling at the beginning, but it is easier if you use the Aperture Priority Mode(APM) and the Shutter Priority Mode(SPM) which is also known as Semi-manual or Semi-auto modes initially. The Aperture Priority Mode is where the main subject of an image is on focus leaving the background and other subjects in blur. The Shutter Priority Mode is generally of two types, fast shutter and slow shutter. Fast shutter is used when there’s a moving object has to be clicked for ex- a swing or a vehicle and the Slow shutter is used for capturing a motion progression.
White Balance Settings
Using the White Balance Setting helps in getting the natural look on images that you click. When you click an image, there are many different colours that cast on your image. This is when the White Balance Settings come into the picture. The most common White Balance Settings are Daylight, Cloudy, Auto, Tungsten, Shade, Flash and Fluorescent.
Photo Editing Programs(Photoshop)
Use the Photo-Editing Program of your DSLR to add more effects and life to your images with Photoshop. Photoshop can be used for not only adding different colours and effects but it can counteract the imperfections and mistakes from the image as well.
Make sure the center Focus Point is pointed exactly at the subject of the image. You have to shut the Shutter button halfway to lock the focus down and if you need to recompose your image, you can do that also.
These were some of the basic tricks of DSLR Photography that you may consider for getting a perfect shot. Follow these tips and you will find a noticeable difference in your photographs.
